Piece created for the group exhibition organized and produced by the record label Bestiarie, in collaboration with the SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia. The exhibition, held at the historic Palau de Maricel, featured a selection of eight large-format silkscreen prints in stark black and white. The works were created by a diverse group of artists, including Alonso Urbanos, Miguel Ángel Martín, Liqen, Gerasimos Platanas, Nando Vázquez, Julio Fuentes and Miguel Sueiro. Each piece offered a unique visual tribute to Tetsuo: The Iron Man (Shinya Tsukamoto, 1989), a seminal film in the Cyberpunk genre that explores the fusion of flesh and machine as a metaphor for modern identity. The exhibition honored Tsukamoto’s visceral aesthetic and thematic concerns, underlining the ongoing relevance of Tetsuo more than two decades after its release.
